The Iron Lords are a group of Guardians who are honored during the Iron Banner.[1] Little is known about them other than that they first came to being before the rise of the Vanguard and the Last City, dedicating themselves to defending survivors of the Collapse and restoring civilization.[2] All of them, save for Saladin Forge, sacrificed themselves to contain the biomechanical plague SIVA.[3] Their sacrifices are honored at the Temple of the Iron Lords at Felwinter Peak, and celebrated via the Iron Banner tournament. Their names are lent to various Iron Banner equipment. A similar group, the Iron Wolves, is likewise honored by the Iron Banner.[citation needed]
