Shielded Minotaurs were a large, Ultra class Vex Minotaurs belonging to the Sol Primeval found only in the A Garden World Strike. Their most notable feature is their unique chassis, featuring gold internals parts, covered by transparent, glass-like armor plating.[1]

Gameplay

Shielded Minotaurs are encountered in Mercury's Simulant Past, on the pathway to Dendron, Root Mind. They are protected by an immunity shield, and use this resilience to blast players with impunity. Their shield can be broken by destroying a nearby module powering it, protected by a dome-shaped barrier. Upon destruction of this node, the Minotaur will be damaged and lose its shield, becoming vulnerable. Its head will also be destroyed, making it much more aggressive.

During the boss fight with Dendron, the Cyclops will generate a shield barrier whenever it loses a third of its health, and two of the four Shielded Minotaurs at the edge of the arena will become active. Players will have to destroy both of their modules in order for said barrier to be neutralized.
