Mercury is a planet in the Solar System. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun and was inhabited by humanity during the Golden Age, in which it was transformed into a garden world. During the Collapse, the Vex transformed Mercury into a machine planet within days of their arrival.[1]

While it is not an explorable space, Mercury is home to a single Crucible map, The Burning Shrine. It is full of ever-changing Vex architecture, and is accessible via the Trials of Osiris as well as normal Crucible.[2]
