The Tower.
Panorama of the Tower.

The Tower is a location in the City, located along the outer wall. The Tower contains living quarters for the Guardians and the Overwatch District, providing the place where Guardians return under the shelter of the Traveler where Guardians can meet up when not on mission.[1] Guardians can visit vendors, turn in quests, and interact with their fellows in the stronghold. The Tower houses class-focused areas for Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters to each meet with their fellows.[2] The Tower also has a spaceship hangar.[3]

It is said that in the past, the City once possessed a dozen Towers, but the others all fell to the Darkness.[4]

Trivia

  • A soccer ball can be found on the Tower Watch behind the post office, which can be kicked around by Guardians.
  • Another ball is found near the Bounty Tracker, a large purple one that can also be kicked around but descends more slowly.[3]
  • There is a secret button on the rafter near the post office. It activates the fan on the roof of the post office, briefly launching any Guardian standing on it into the air.
  • In the lowest part of the hangar, Guardians can find a small bar with couches and a few NPCs. This area has no current use and cannot be interacted with in any way. However, there are multiple alien weapons found around the area, including Fallen and Cabal guns and shields.[5]
