The Blind Legion is an elite detachment of the Cabal scout legions on Mars led by Primus Sha'aull.
Overview
The Legion's purpose is to capture and contain Vex artifacts.[1] As the Cabal are currently at war with the Vex, the Legion's activities are crucial to the war effort.[1] They can be identified by their black and white armor with white skull symbols, though Centurions and Phalanxes have more orange and Colossi have more white. In the base game, they're mainly found in the Mission "The Garden's Spire".
At the start of the Taken War, the Blind Legion had taken enormous casualties against the Taken, losing about 35% of their troops stationed across Mars and Phobos.[2]
Following the Cabal's crippling losses during the Taken War, the Cabal army on Mars came under attack by a resurgent House of Wolves, who took advantage of their depleted numbers to seize and entrench themselves within various Cabal fortifications, including the Blind Legion's former base, which became the new den for a rebuilt Orbiks Prime. The Blind Legion would attempt to retake their stronghold, ultimately succeeding thanks to the Guardian destroying the Prime Servitor, leaving the Wolves broken once more.[3]

Trivia
- It's inferred that at one point, the Broken Legion and their leaders may have once been in the Blind Legion before imprisonment. This may explain why the Blind Legion have barely any high-ranking Cabal among them.
- Aside from the Ice Reapers, the Blind Legion is the smallest known Cabal detachment seen in the Destiny franchise.
