Kraken Mare is the largest of the methane seas, going as far as thousands of meters deep, that exists on the Saturn moon of Titan. Numerous Arcologies were established here during the Golden Age, and were left abandoned after the Collapse. The sea surface and floor are now littered with decaying structures of Humanity's past, occupied by the Fallen, encrusted with Hive nests, and covered in Taken Blight.

Skirmish on Titan

When Titan returned to real space years after the Arrival of the Black Fleet, Kraken Mare was found crawling with the forces of Xivu Arath, God of War. The Vanguard would begin Salvage operations to recover Golden Age tech to use in their diving expeditions, fighting powerful Hive and Taken champions residing on the seafloor next to a crashed Hive warship.
