Biography

Nian and her fellow Hunters undertook several operations against the Fallen, stealing resources and loot from them. This resulted in the Fallen Houses placing a bounty on Nian and the others, although Nian and the rest of the crew did not take it seriously. During what was supposed to be an easy job, Nian, Cayde-6, Shiro-4, and Lush were ambushed by the Fallen mercenary Taniks, the Scarred, who was pursuing the bounty. Before they had a chance to even fight him, Taniks murdered Nian and destroyed her Ghost, resulting in her final death. Taniks' murder of Nian, along with his destruction of Lush's Ghost, earned the mercenary the hatred of her remaining comrades and they swore to hunt down and kill Taniks in revenge.[1] The Vanguard also dispatched Saint-14 to hunt down Taniks for his murder of Nian and several other Guardians.[2]
