Plasteel Plating is gained by dismantling Uncommon, Rare, or Legendary Armor and is used to upgrade a Titan's armor that has the ability to be upgraded. Dismantling less common pieces of armor usually gives a player more Plasteel Plating. (e.g. dismantling a Rare helmet could give a player 3 Plasteel Plating, while dismantling an Uncommon helmet will give a player only one piece of Plasteel Plating).
