Vurn was considered a skilled warrior among the Clipse proficient with all sorts of weaponry, guns especially. After the Clipse had been reconquered by Emperor Calus and Rull had become a Shadow, he would approach Vurn and tell her that he had selected her to be among the Clipse to live on archologies that had been constructed from the Leviathan by Calus' Loyalists.
