Penumbral Depths was a massive cave system that was partially carved out by Xol, Will of the Thousands underneath the Hellas Basin on Mars. It was a breeding ground for the Grasp of Nokris and their staging ground for their invasion of the BrayTech Futurescape. The location was available only in Ice and Shadow as well as the Strange Terrain Mission and Strike.
It was later removed along with all of Mars as a patrol space with the release of Beyond Light on November 10, 2020.
