Stargazer is a post-campaign Quest in Lightfall and the second part of a chain of quests in the Hall of Heroes on Neomuna.[1] Players who completed the introductory quest "Welcome to the Hall of Heroes" will receive this quest immediately from Quinn Laghari. Players who complete this quest unlocks the first two entries for the Cloud Striders Legacies Lore book.
Steps[edit]
Step 1[edit]
Loot the Terminal Overload reward chest at the end of the activity.
- Chest looted
There's no spectacle like defending Neomuna from the Vex and Shadow Legion all at once. Complete Terminal Overload and loot the reward chest at the end.
Transcript[edit]
Quinn believes your Strand powers can restore the destroyed memorials of Neomuna's heroes by finding connection with those previous Cloud Striders, perhaps based on their unique places in Neomuni history.
Stargazer—originally a mathematician named Laminak Li—was an explorer. Their legacy revolves around witnessing grand events and recovering lost treasure.
Engage in Terminal Overload activities to begin bonding with this legacy.
Step 2[edit]
Defeat the Vex Hydra in Esi Terminal to obtain a high-security passcode.
- Passcode obtained
- "Those secure caches the Vex leave behind? They're locked with paraquantum encryption, so you'll need a subroutine passcode ripped right out of a command unit."
- — Quinn
Step 3[edit]
Obtain a Terminal Overload Key by completing public events, looting chests, or completing patrols.
- Key obtained
- "Whoa. This subroutine's huge! You'll need a security keycard to deliver it. They're scattered all over the place, and hard to find, so keep your eyes open."
- — Quinn
Step 4[edit]
Use a key to open a Terminal Overload Key Chest.
- Terminal Overload Key Chest unlocked
With key in hand, the encrypted chest at the end of the Terminal Overload activity can be opened. Go forth to discover treasure and secrets.
Step 5[edit]
Return to the Hall of Heroes to repair Stargazer's memorial.
- Memorial restored
A Stargazer's eyes marvel at new experiences. You can feel this Cloud Strider's legacy within the cosmic web.
Transcript[edit]
The Guardian approaches the broken memorial which immediately reforms itself upon interaction. A voice from Stargazer's memory plays out.
- LAMINAK LI: Yes, hmmm. How to describe... Algorithm is inaccurate but acceptable shorthand. It's... an occlusion. In a way? Perhaps. But if we ride along the edge... hm. Accelerated processing, gravitational lensing as applied to data.
Step 6[edit]
Return to Quinn to discuss the next steps.
- Archivist visited
- "Hey, I've finished digging through the Stargazer archives you restored and I think I have our first real lead!"
- — Quinn
Transcript[edit]
"I found Stargazer's algorithm in the data you recovered, except it's not an algorithm. They called it 'The Occlusion.' Love this stuff. My data crawler also pulled some old library records, showing who else accessed Stargazer's archive back in the day. Maelstrom! She was the greatest military mind in history AND she's one of our smashed servers. It can't be a coincidence."
"If this 'Occlusion' spooked the Vex, maybe Maelstrom kept a backup of it on her server. She was a warrior, so go start some fights!"
