The Diasyrm was an Awoken political figure who rose to prominence as a leader of the Eccaleists during the founding era of Awoken civilization on the Distributary. She claimed that Alis Li, the first Queen of the Awoken and allegedly the first Awoken to be born in the new universe, had decided that all of the other as-yet unborn Awoken should come into being as mortal entities, rather than as immortal gods. She thus accused the queen of deicide, leading to the Theodicy Wars.
