The Heavy Pike is a variant of the Pike used by the House of Wolves and later the House of Dusk. The vehicle was first introduced in Destiny update 1.2.0, and could be found on Venus inside one of the caves in the Ember Caves in Patrol, and the Ash Coves during both versions of the Winter's Run Strike. In Destiny 2, a trio of Heavy Pikes can be found in the Glade of Echoes on Nessus during the Exodus Crash Strike and various Heavy Pikes can be found in Maevic Square in the European Dead Zone on Earth during the Curse of Osiris mission A Deadly Trial.
It has a slower rate of fire than the standard Pike, but fires splash-damage rounds. Also, strafing causes the Pike to fire bouncing Shock Grenades, much like a Skiff. Like the ordinary Pike its boost will eventually run out and requires a moment to recharge. Its armor is significantly stronger than a Sparrow or Pike's.
While an ordinary Pike has only one central engine the Heavy Pike has seven: four upper offset engines, two lower maneuvering engines, and a central, boosting engine. When boosting, the maneuvering engines will align with the central engine, much like how the Cabal Interceptor's engines align together for a short-term boost.[1]
