Blood Guard Centurions are a Major Red Legion variant of the Centurion. They can be encountered in The Inverted Spire Strike.

Gameplay

Blood Guard Centurions require more attention than typical Centurions. For one, they are equipped with a Void absorption as opposed to a Solar shield and their armor is more heavily-reinforced, giving them immense durability against incoming attacks. On top of this, they are also capable of limited flight via jump jets attached to their armor suits, allowing them superior mobility across the battlefield. This flight capability also allows them to lay waste to Guardians with their Cabal Bronto Cannon, a portable siege cannon that fires Void energy bolts with high damage output and a large blast radius to boot. But their combat efficiency doesn't render Blood Guard Centurions invincible. Energy weapons can cut through their shielding, and power weapons work well against their heavy armor.

Variants

  • Blood Guard Exemplar
  • Blood Guard Security

Trivia

Two Blood Guard Centurions are shown guarding Dominus Ghaul during his confrontation with The Guardian, implying that they may be a sort of royal guard for Ghaul.
