Winter's Run is a level 14 strike on Venus. The fireteam's objective is to infiltrate the House of Winter's lair and kill Aksor, Archon Priest.
The April Update introduced an alternate version of this Strike that replaces the usual enemies with Taken forces.
Objectives[edit]
- Infiltrate Winter's Lair
Enter House of Winter's den in the caves.
- Fight Through The Lair
Push through hostiles in the caves to find the Archon Priest.
- Expel Enemy Forces
Obliterate the hostiles barring the way to the Archon Priest.
- Breach The Hatch
Use Ghost to break the lock on the hatch.
- Kill Them All
Survive long enough for Ghost to break the lock on the hatch.
- Track The Archon Priest
Explore the furthest reaches of the Fallen lair to locate the Archon Priest.
- Kill The Fallen (Normal version)
Eliminate the Fallen harboring the Archon Priest.
- Kill The Taken (Taken version)
Eliminate the Taken harboring Nixis, Hunger of Oryx.

Call Aksor the Archon Priest out of its confines and prepare for a fight.

The Fireteam lands in Headlands.
- Ghost: It won't take them long to restore the Archon Priest's soul. We'd better head for the caves.
The Guardians head for Ember Caves.
- Ghost: Vex!? What are they doing in here?
The Fireteam attacks Fallen and Vex.
- Ghost: If the Fallen are already fighting off Vex, they'll be ready for us. The Archon Priest will be well-protected.
The Fireteam arrives in the Cinders, Fallen and Vex are fighting. The Guardians clear the threat.
- Ghost: We'll need to get through! I'll check it out
Ghost scans the system.
- Ghost: It's locked down tight. Just give me some time.
Ghost hacks the locked door. The fireteam is ambushed by Fallen and Vex. The Guardians clear the threat.
- Ghost: Ok! It's open!
Ghost taps into fallen comms.
- Ghost: Picking up Fallen comms. They're restoring the Archon Priest! We'd better move. Think they'd if we take their Pikes?
The Guardians battle through Ash Coves, and arrive in Winter's Run.
- Ghost: A cell. From the Prison of Elders. The Archon Priest is still inside.
The fireteam clears the area of Fallen and Vex.
- Ghost: You sure this is a good idea?
The Guardians rlease Aksor, Archon Priest. The fireteam is ambushed by heavy Fallen reinforcements. The fireteam kills Aksor, Archon Priest.
- Ghost: It was better off in the Prison of Elders. I'll contact the Vanguard. Let them know the Archon Priest is dead.
- Cayde-6: One more Fallen Archon gone to dust. Good. But if the Fallen found the Prison of Elders, I'm sure we'll be hearing about more heists like this. Today, we celebrate.
