Banes are a new combatant modifier that grants a special power of random choice to any non-champion combatant in PvE, these Banes are found exclusively in higher difficulty activities like Legend Nightfalls.

  • Meteors - The Meteors Bane gives combatants the ability to launch Solar projectiles that track but can be shot down.
  • Shock - Shock will continuously build up a charge that will discharge on a single target within line of sight, and killing a unit with this Bane causes it to spread to others nearby.
  • Shields - grants the enemy a dome Shield that moves with them, trigger for the effect is unknown (needs verification)
  • Mines - on death they scatter around 4 mines that explode when you get near
  • Drain - if you are within line of sight of the enemy (which has a lot of reach) you get Umbral Drain debuff and your health starts draining, the enemy heals presumably (needs verification)
  • Healing - the target have an aura that heals it and all nearby enemies back to full health constantly if not damaged
  • Slow - The enemy has a Constant Duskfield around it.
Announced but not in game yet
  • Berserk - Killing combatants with Berserk causes other combatants nearby to enrage.
    • (Similar ability utilized by Adepts)
  • Punchable - Punchable combatants are immune to all ranged damage and damage from status effects until they are hit with a melee attack.
  • Nuclear - Once a unit with the Nuclear Bane reaches low health, it begins an arming sequence. If the unit is not defeated before the sequence completes, it explodes in a massive fiery shockwave.
