Gameplay[edit]

Nightmare Thralls appear in activities featuring Nightmares and Hive. They often manifest in groups, in support of more powerful Nightmares, like the Nightmare of Phogoth, the Untamed[1], mixed in with regular Thralls in story missions[2]. While they can be dangerous if ignored, defeating them rewards the players with an Unstable Essence, which they can use to increase the damage they deal to other Nightmares.
