Balvog, Shield of Oryx is a Taken Knight who serves as the boss of the Dread Patrol quest and a Patrol mission. They are located in the Trenchway of the Dreadnaught and can be summoned by killing several waves of Taken.
Gameplay[edit]
Balvog tries to stop the Guardian from planting Patrol Beacons on the Dreadnought with his Boomer and the ability to fire Solar jets, but is ultimately defeated along with his command, and the Guardian establishes a secure connection with the Vanguard.[1]

- Balvog in Azerbaijani means "balm."
