Akasha is an unpartnered Ghost who had been scanning Awoken territory for years in search of her Guardian.

During Operation Ahamkara, as the Coalition began preparations to stop the Witness from enacting the Final Shape, Micah-10 would send the Guardian to find Akasha in the Dreaming City and bring her to the Pale Heart to help in the Traveler's recovery. After fighting their way through Scorn and Taken, the Guardian followed Akasha's signal into the Ascendant Plane and found she had been analyzing the Ley Lines due to Xivu Arath moving large amounts of her forces into the Dreaming City while Mara Sov was preoccupied with holding back the Final Shape. After finding Akasha in the Confluence before the gateway to Eleusinia, the Guardian brought her back to the Pale Heart to help heal the Traveler.
