:You're correct. It's one of Eris's interchangeable quotes at one point during The Sunless Cell strike. I think she says it when you come to the long bridge that leads into the boss chamber, but I'm not sure. As already noted in this article's intro, the Taken decay, but (like the zombies in The Walking Dead) they linger forever until they're killed. :I believe that any Taken with sufficient intelligence remaining can effectively assume control of the Taken, now that Oryx is gone. Why else would Malok, Pride of Oryx and Alak-Hul, the Darkblade pose such a significant threat to the Guardians? Though I believe only this is restricted to Taken Hive of sufficient age and power, otherwise one of those Zealots would be a threat also. The Cabal Taken would surely fit this role well, since they're the most organized militaries in the solar system. == Taken Worlds by the Witness ==

Does anyone mind an explanation to how The Witness Took whole worlds during Season of Arrivals, where they been kept aboard its ship, or how those affected by it are left with "time wounds" like with Mars and Titan?  Wendigo GL3 (talk) 11:13, May 15, 2024 (EDT)

The Nature of how the Witness took our planets are not properly described, the Macrocosm only acts as a catalogue of the worlds that the Witness took, the time wounds are described in the Osmiomancy Gloves. We don’t properly know what this dimension that the Taken go to is or where it is. The Taken Grimoire is the closest we can get of that. 11:24, May 15, 2024 (EDT)
:What about the Contact activity? Was it the point of the Witness using Pyramids and Pyramid Scales to terraform the worlds it Took with Darkness?Wendigo GL3 (talk) 11:38, May 15, 2024 (EDT)
clear
:The Witness was never terraforming our Worlds with the Pyramids, it is a complicated character, wanting to make us its servants by corrupting us with Stasis while making other entities suffer because of its own goals. 11:46, May 15, 2024 (EDT)
