Ascendant Portals (also known as Ruptures or Ascendant Rifts) are constructs used by the Hive to traverse vast distances, travel into the Ascendant Realm or into the personal realm of a Hive God.
Overview
Ascendant Portals act as gateways into the Ascendant Plane and the various cyst-universes of the Hive Gods. These portals are accessible only to those that have gained the power of ascendency.[1]
Two variants of the Ascendant Portals exist, those that are crafted by the Hive that bear a resemblance to the portal within the Court of Oryx, and those created by the Taken located within the Dreaming City.
