The Colossus (formerly Gladiator) is a type of Cabal elite warrior. Massive, even for Cabal standards, they lead through their own ferocious size and strength, wielding devastating Gatling-style Heavy Slug Throwers.[1] Heavy Slug Throwers fire a hailstorm of bullets that can keep the player pinned down in its line of suppressive fire and melt a Guardian's shield in the blink of an eye, and is also surprisingly accurate at long range, thus maintaining effectiveness over vast distances. Colossi also have the ability to fire shoulder-mounted rockets that track their targets. Should a full barrage manage to land a hit they can swiftly destroy their target. [2] Although Colossi are meant to fill the role of an all-range super-heavy infantry unit, getting close to them is a horrible idea. They will unleash a 360 degree ground stomp that will instantly kill Guardians reckless or unfortunate enough to get into melee range. Picking them off at extreme distances is often the best way to take one out.
