Commanders of Eternity are a group of Cabal that participate in the Dares of Eternity.[1]

Gameplay

Centurion Commanders appear in the Valley and in the Vault, if the Cabal are selected as foes. They look like normal Ultra Centurions, but are highlighed by a glow and enclosed in an immunity shield. Three will arrive in Drop Pods, positioned in three points of the arena, and will not move far from their starting point. The only way to drop their shield is to use the Dare Charges obtained by killing Xûr's Bombtenders. The orbital laser will chip away at their shield and much of their health, though in Legend difficulty they will need to be damaged further in order to kill them. Players should be careful to time their charges right, as the Commanders may dodge out of the laser with their thrusters, wasting the charge. Once a Commander is dead, another will arrive soon after, until enough have been killed, and the objective is completed.

Colossus and Gladiator Commanders appear in the fight against Valus Ta'aurc, Dares Champion. They will fight much like their regular counterparts, with the Colossi bombarding players from afar and the Gladiators rushing in to slice them. They have no special gimmicks, and can be killed or ignored at the player's leisure.
