Warmind Vault JYS-2 is a location in Echo Mesa, Io. The Vault plays a role in the Red War as a significant part of the mission Fury. The Guardian enters the Vault in hopes of receiving tactical scans of the Red Legion's star-killing weapon, The Almighty. In the process, the Taken on Io invade the Vault, led by the Modular Sigma and Modular Upsilon. Upon their destruction, the Guardian, Ikora Rey, and Asher Mir examine the scans to find out that destroying The Almighty would take the Sun with it.

The Guardian would later enter the Vault again after receiving a signal that only they and their Ghost could hear. Following the Warmind's broadcasts, they would be led to a Sleeper Node that upon scanning, would take control of their Ghost and allude to the events of Warmind.
