Project Niobe was a great experiment to aid Humanity by making weapons more deadly through a on-the-spot phase transition of the guns. In other words create a walking, talking forge through the use of an Exo.
During the Collapse, Henriette Meyrin in an effort to save her fatally injured daughter would upload her daughters consciousness into an experimental Exo frame to become Ada-1.
At some point Siviks, Lost to None would scour through the Black Armory Papers to seek for secrets of the Obsidian Drive, an initiative to develop and produce enhanced Black Armory prototypes.
Later Ada-1 would be grateful towards the Guardian for recovering the Obsidian Drive, a lost piece of herself which enabled her weapon-upgrading abilities.
