The '''Solar System''' (also known as '''Sol System''' or simply '''Sol''') is the planetary system inhabited by [[Human|Humanity]]. During the [[Golden Age]], humanity forged an empire that spanned much of the system, but retreated to [[Earth]] following the catastrophic effects of the [[Collapse]] and abandoned their many worlds to various other forces. 

The system is currently inhabited by both the [[Traveler]] and the [[Darkness]], the latter is in the midst of sieging the system with its [[Black Fleet]]. The planets and the Sun are also associated with dark-matter based intelligences that make up the [[Nine]].
