Root Module Restrictions are a variant of Vex Hydras and Cyclopses within the Nessian Schism, encountered in Encore.

Gameplay

Root Module Restriction Hydras will be first encountered in a laboratory containing multiple Vex portals across the room. Slaying the Hydra will manifest a platform as well as a Vex Module//ACCESS that can be used to activate one of the portals.

Later, another Hydra will be encountered at a cavern containing Ishtar buildings and must be destroyed by the Guardian to activate the portal leading to the Ishtar Research Facility.

During the Concerto and Coda variants of Encore, the Cyclops variants will manifest on Vex platforms when the Guardian has retrieved Vex Module//CONNECTION and preferably should be slain before placing the Module within the bowl. This variant reappears in the final battle.
