Kauko Swiftriver was a Hunter Vanguard. He went missing during a mission, and was officially declared dead two years later. Kauko's disappearance left the Hunter Vanguard position empty, as the Hunter who had taken his Vanguard Dare had likewise gone missing. His position was soon filled by Andal Brask, who lost a dare with Cayde-6.[1]
