Original Fake Leak[edit]

Released March 16th, 2022:
"Retribution
tales from a disgruntled fired Bungie employee s17 - eramis becomes unfrozen and is revealed to be a disciple and sieges the deep stone crypt while Ana is there. Season revolves around saving her. Epilogue involves exo rasputin breaking out and helping us kill eramis before she freezes and shatters him. Ending cutscene is of a ghost finding him. s18 - the Leviathan reappears and the Vanguard sends troops to deal with it. It's revealed it's become the glykon but filled with hive AND scorn. Immaru battles with us for control over the Leviathan as it could help him. Epilogue is us finding Calus, a disciple, and killing him. Ending cutscene is of him warning us about something (about the black fleet maybe?) s19 - As the entire Black Fleet armada is making its move, Immaru manages to revive Savathun who then helps Mara lift the curse using the last Ahamkara. Season revolves around it going rogue and us having to kill it. Epilogue is protecting the Dreaming City from the Black Fleet. In the end, it is destroyed. It's currently planned for the Dreaming City, Last Wish, and all of Shadowkeep to be vaulted. To make up for the removal of 2 a raids, its planned an old d2 raid returns (either Levi or Scourge) during Lightfall. In Lightfall, the Last City is destroyed and we move to space. Zavala dies. Space capital ships are introduced in order to have a safe space to be. Drifter will help evacuate citizens while the new Vanguard stays. Expansion is centered around the Black Fleet having control of planets and us having to fight back against them. In the end, we kill the Witness and stop the invasion. It's currently planned for it to cost $50 with 10 missions, a new destination (30 loading zones), a new raid, 6 new exotics, and more. Crossbows will come at this time however I'm unsure if it'll be just the bow or a new weapon archetype. I do not know much about the seasons after Lightfall. Apparently hearing "season of the plague" but dont know. All I really know about The Final Shape is that it's effectively an all-out warfare. Cabal, humanity, etc all basically fight for the right to be the final shape. From what I heard from a friend in another department they're planning on killing off the cabal and most of the fallen, as well as introduce a new type of hive enemy (not like lightbearer hive). As for after Final Shape, based on what I've heard from friends and from what I've worked on myself, it seems like the next saga will have to do with the Vex and new species as well as expanding to new universes (not necessarily leaving Sol though).

Lightfall raid takes place inside of a broken, split Traveler as we attempt to heal it. Things go wrong. TFS raid sounds like it takes place in a new destination? Looking at the concept art for it, it doesn't look familiar. It will introduce a new enemy (the "zorpalods" which will play a bigger role post final shape).

Iron Banner will also be removed by Lightfall and replaced with something else, don't remember what though." [1]

Currently don't know who the original poster was but I believe it was done in the Destinyleaks or Bungieleaks Discord Server. I remember talk about the original people trying to come up with a funny name for a fake enemy race. --stickBlue Beefalo (talk | contribs)

Zorpal Weapon[edit]

General play on words for the weapon perk Vorpal Weapon from the destinycirclejerk reddit. No real known original use of it sadly. Blame Reddit for not having a sort by oldest function. --stickBlue Beefalo (talk | contribs)

Zorpengrad[edit]

Random anonymous user replaced Sluggeria with Zorpengrad a while ago, you can check the edit logs. I changed it back but put it back in as the lore thinking I got it from Reddit or something lol. Apparently comes from the term "Stalingrad tactics" in the Destiny circle jerk subreddit which was making fun of someone for saying they used WW2 Stalingrad tactics in the crucible but I personally haven't seen it being used there, I might've been taking a break from Reddit at the time. The full quote, thanks to u/Complex-Maintenance4 is as follows:
"That's actually very helpful!

Most of my battle tactics are based off WWII-Era Stalingrad sweep & clear maneuvers, combined with the modicum of things I picked up from my military family. Fire & Displace, grenade around corners to clear an unknown hallway from bushwhackers, and even using shaders to make my character blend in.

Honestly some real-world techniques do work even in a video game. At least, until you factor in the "magical power of bullsh*t" unique to the game."[2] --stickBlue Beefalo (talk | contribs)

Zoltasi[edit]

Zorpalodified Paul Tassi, the relatively popular journalist who used to be referenced a lot on the subreddit because people on r/Destinythegame kept saying he "hit the nail on the head" on his articles outlining issues with the game. --stickBlue Beefalo (talk | contribs)

Original Fake Leak[edit]

"AnonTheNine Destiny 3 Leaks, and Addressing the 4chan Post
After observing the massive amounts of people express their excitement for penumbra, there were even more asking for more info on D3 and D2Y3. Originally, this was supposed to release on Friday. However, I decided to release it early, as the previous post grew much larger than I anticipated. So, without further ado, here it is in its entirety:

D2Y3: Not much detail is known outside of the business model and a small detail about the content. There will not be another Comet DLC (Taken King, Rise of Iron, Forsaken) to kick off D2Y3. In its place will be an Annual Pass 2.0 style model, however there will be a slightly larger DLC in it's first entry instead of every DLC being around the same size.

Locations: Old Chicago, Europa, and a return to Venus have been confirmed.

Endgame locations: The immense pyramid-like ship that has been teased since D2 vanilla, and was also seen as a hologram in the queen's court. This is the flagship of a new enemy race which will serve as the main threat in the story. This location in essence would become the "Dreaming City" of D3.

New Enemy Race: Astrodemons known only as the Veil. Their visual appearance is described as having dark greenish skin, sharp claws, and having a distinct stench of 'wet earth' as mentioned by Ada-1's mother in the lore entries brought with Black Armory. It is also worth noting that the Veil, being the true servants of the darkness are on an equal power level to guardians, if not stronger.

Story: During the collapse, the god of the Veil was slain in a conflict with the light. Since then, the Veil have been waiting for the Traveler to re-awaken so they can syphon it's power to resurrect their dead god.

Abilities: Darkness based abilities are confirmed, however I am unsure of any changes/additions to the traditional subclasses.

New Game Design: Open-world PvPvE areas, more akin to PlanetSide than to the Division. Crucible and sandbox changes are unknown.

Direction: The goal of D3 is to cater to the hardcore audience more than anything. This game will be supposedly much more difficult than previous entries, and will very much focus on how the hardcore community of the franchise will play. D3 will also provide more RPG elements in it's approach design compared to previous entries in the franchise.

Disclaimer: Because these are all leaks from before Anon went dark, these are all early development decisions and are subject to change. In addition, outside of the penumbra info and what you read here today, I am unaware of any confirmed or otherwise evident changes to current or future information.

About the 4chan post:

To address the many questions I received about my comments on the 4chan leaks, this is all I have to say: The leaks that were posted were a combination of legitimate leaks from Anon mixed with their own theory and speculation, but presented as a true leak. Whether or not Aphelions, faction oriented gameplay design, us teaming up with the cabal and fallen, calus having a “major” presence in the story, or 12 man raids are talked about, the bottom line is that none of those things are present in any credible leaks anywhere. What is in this post talking about D3 is what is known 100% as straight from Anon and no one else. There is no spin, and there is no angle.

Edit: I called Old Chicago the ADZ out of habit even though it was never explicitly said by anon. It is now just "Old Chicago" "[3]

This is an older more serious fake leak from shadowofanonthenine where it lists "the Veil" as a new enemy race but describes them as "Astrodemons". More recently the idea was brought up in this post on the destinycirclejerk subreddit by a now deleted user. The description of "dark greenish skin, sharp claws, and having a distinct stench of wet earth" is what led the subreddit to interpret them as crocodiles. --stickBlue Beefalo (talk | contribs)

Gargalost[edit]

This is original. It originates from the day 1 King's Fall D2 attempt we (my clan) did with a couple randoms where my friend mispronounced Golgoroth as "Gargalost" and one of the randoms asked, jokingly, "What the hell why'd I get gargalost?" after the game bugged out and he was stuck behind the door to the previous encounter after we got to Warpriest. --stickBlue Beefalo (talk | contribs)
