The Coronated is a powerful Dread Eidolon. The first of its kind, it was created by Ir Dralcha after ripping out a shard of the Echo of Obsession containing the overpowering voices of the Sarupal's most powerful monarchs and placing it into the heart of a Subjugator. After its defeat at the hands of the Crownless, it would be made commander of the Dread of the Banished Swarm.
It would be encountered several times by Guardian Fireteams, where it is either leading its forces in attacks or raids or responds to a hostile incursion in the hope of killing the intruders. When Ir Dralcha would be killed, it would seize the opportunity and attempt to claim the Echo of Obsession so as to become whole again and use its power to recreate their homeworld over the Sol System. However, only managing to claim a half of it after it and Ir Vicsza fought for it. Nevertheless, it would use the shard it had to remake itself and use the Echo's power, as well as Hive magic in the hope to reshape reality around them to their image. They would be stopped aboard a remade Sarupal's Torment by the Guardians before the reborn dark monarch could enact their ambition.

Initially a pair of powerful voices within the Echo of Obsession, the sibling monarchs Varzsha and Elsulvis, they would be forcibly removed from the crown by the sheer willpower of Ir Dralcha, their essence contained in a crown point. Pondering what to do with the isolated shard, she would receive an answer from the Echo and would pierce the shard into the heart of a Subjugator, in which the fragment would slowly change the Dread, engulfing it in a bramble cocoon. The voices within the shard would overpower the Subjugator's mind, and the two personalities would use their own power to learn of what had transpired over the years, learning of their kind's extermination and the death of their war gods, and would grow furious.
After weeks of development, the Coronated would emerge from the vine-wrapped pod and begin slaughtering Ir Dralcha's attendants before it would be confronted by its maker. After dueling the Crownless Queen, it would be defeated and forced into subservience, now becoming a hesitantly loyal servant. The two voices would conspire, using their limited power to conceive of a plan to break free and find a way to rebuild their broken and dead people.

After the death of Ir Dralcha, the Coronated would attempt to snatch the Echo of Obsession for itself, but would come into conflict with the mad priestess Ir Vicsza for control, ultimately resulting in the Echo splitting in two, as the voices within sought different purposes. Although denied the full power of the Echo, the Coronated would nonetheless utilize the power of it to remake itself with the knowledge within and the resulting resources that came from it, reshaping it into the image of the sibling monarch's visage. Echo in hand, it would draw scores of Dread, Taken and even Hive to its fold, and would stake its claim aboard Ir Dralcha's former flagship, Sarupal's Torment.
Within days, the powerful Eidolon would remake the halls of the Hive Warship, warping them into a reflection of their former palace, its once claustrophobic, infested halls a glimmering, gilded replica of royal grandeur. It would also begin experimenting with its forces in an effort to warp them into the Sarupal's image, pulling from the lucid memory of the Witness and channeling the knowledge gleamed into reshaping the living beneath it. Though met with a few failures, eventually, the Coronated would start remaking life into the image of the extinct race with unsettling and uncanny accuracy.
With its power and influence growing, a Guardian Fireteam would be assembled and sent to the remade halls of the ship with the intent of destroying the self-christened Heir of Salvation and claiming its Echo before it can remake reality around it to its desire. Traversing what was and what is, defeating its vassals and remade kindred, the Guardians would come face to face with the kingly Dread. Despite its transfiguring power and the combined might of the Sarupal's most fearsome monarchs, it would be destroyed, impaled by its own resonant weaponry and its Echo claimed by its assassins.
