When Sotrec began to thirst for blood and conflict, he was directed by Malvarune to "experience the simpler things in life", as well as to find ways to usher the advancement of the Swarm. Sotrec set out on a mission to slaughter a rogue champion by the name of [[Forum:Anzû, the Anarchist|Anzû]]. Once Anzû and his cult were extinguished, Sotrec used his blade to carve his spirit from his corpse and absorb it, giving Sotrec enough power to create his oversoul. When Sotrec created the Genesis, he wished to never have to feed his worm. This would give him the ability to create imitations that could feed his worm remotely.
