The Dread Axe is a Dread melee weapon wielded by Templars.
Overview[edit]
Wielded by the hulking Templars of the Dread, the Dread Axe is an extremely deadly weapon for close-quarters combat, dealing significant damage akin to the Hive Axe Slam ability. Unless one has the proper shielding, Darkblades can kill Guardians in one strike on most difficulties with this weapon. Due to it inflicting 
Corruption damage, it will leave a lingering pool of corruption when hitting the ground for a few seconds. The Templars can also use it to fling Corruption bolts around the area to spread more Corruption pools.
A unique variant of the Dread Axe known as Inquisition's Hammer is used exclusively by Shin'ra, the Forge Master, which is distinguishable for its dark green colors and its hammer-like design.
