Mandatory pixel resolution[edit]

Why does the minimum/maximum pixel resolution for pics have to be at 300px? StanNPractice (talk) 19:02, January 10, 2025 (EST)

My simple answer to that question is that atleast for me it allows everything to be easily identifiable on any platform including mobile, like for example using one of my personal images for this demonstration: Judge (Fractures).jpg

Doesn't this appear very identifiable, as in you can see ever intricate detail. Basically 300px allows most images to be more easily viewed as then people can see details that a smaller resolution may hide like for example, if Rhulk's image was too small, one wouldn't be able to identify the symbols in his eyes easily. If thats the case then how come it isn’t that codefied in the wiki policies? StanNPractice (talk) 19:25, January 10, 2025 (EST)

That doesn’t need to be coded into the policies.stickTheTrueSorrowMaker (contribs) 18:36, January 10, 2025 (EDT)

Its the most ideal pixel resolution, that's why its seems to be used the most and is strongly preferred (hence the mandatory kinda feeling but not really). stick Mirror Zero (contribs)Fan Fiction (BestiaryLocationsStory) 20:05, January 10, 2025 (EST)
