Porplemontage's board
From Destinypedia, the Destiny wiki
I do not have a sidebar with Upload file after I upload one. It takes me to the image location and that is all.
Oh, my, gosh. Sorry about that. I meant to link to the page, I do not know why it put the picture here. :3
...No. Usually it takes you to the [[File:Dorje-bellbrook-db-destiny-214.jpg|image page and I have to search the page again to get back in. Unless I hit the back button two or three times. :?
How would I edit the Upload page to include a Return to Upload section for when an image is uploaded. In other words, usually if I wanted to upload several images, I would have to search the upload page every time individually. How can I set it so that when you upload an image, there is an option to return to the upload page in order to upload the next?
Hello Porple, I don't think we've formally met. I'm Primus Draug'oth, and if possible, I would like for you to promote me. I've been a member of this wiki since March and have come a long way. It is an honor to be here, as an active, dedicated member of the Destinypedia community, and I only plan to make it better. And so, I would like to become an admin. Thank you for hearing out.
I'm curious. How does one create user subpages? I'd like to make one so I can index all of the images I've uploaded, including Grimoire cards.
Excuse me Porplemontage, an anonymous User is trolling the wiki. If maybe you could block them?
Okay. I have begun adding and working the page now. It will more or less look something like this, but much more elaborate and efficient when I get some more information in. What do you think? Is there something I can change to make it better in your opinion?
So how would I generate the same feature on the maintenance page, but for every subsection I create?
Sorry I am being so difficult, I am just starting to get the hang of wiki format engineering-if you can call it that.
Okay, like in the Category pages, they have lists of pages in need of help editing, but for some reason when you go into the editing mode on those pages, I cannot find those pages why?
Oh wait, your first message was what I was trying to do. Lol I will get right on this, just need to get back on my pc....
But if I do that the page will just show links to other pages with more links no? I mean I am trying to make the maintenance page an overview of all current articles that are not feature worthy , by listing them in one page we can look through and prioritize.
Oh I meant how can I make the items I want to list from those categories show up like they do in their respective pages rather than individually. The page is still on track for becoming an index for priority pages and what each needs. Just seeing if there is a better way to do it than what I am doing now.
Oh, and one other thing, how do I get the lists to show up like in the [[|Category:Articles needing fact cleanup| Category pages]]? And how do I get it so that when new articles come, they fall under these categories automatically?
Hi Porple, it is me again. I was wondering, the wiki has 1,550 articles, and when trying to bring all of them to the highest quality it gets hard to find them all. Is there a template I can make that would organize all of our articles into a few major categories, like finished articles, stubs, in need of improvement etc? Since this job seems a big task, I would be happy to spare you of the trouble and make the template myself. The only thing I would need would be just a few simple instructions on how such a template could be made if it could be made. From there, we could easily prioritize articles that need help instead of just surfing as some are too remote for some users to even think of searching. I figured I would ask you as I am not sure the limitations of this wiki's template capabilities. Thanks!
