From Destinypedia, the Destiny wiki
It's actually a twist on the canon battle. You see, this is fanfiction, so this battle happened in canon and the bad guys were defeated soundly. Now, the battle that's happening is supposedly the climatic battle that ends a war between a cybernetic race and another one.
Now, the fandom is Star Fox -- yea, sue me, it's a furry fandom -- and the protagonists are the "invincible" Star Fox team of maybe four to five folk in there. In the fandom, they can beat anything and anyone the author throws at them, just because. Now, this particular battle takes place in a game called Star Fox Assault, where the Aparoids, the Borg/Flood-like alien race (which look like moths in all honesty) attack Star Fox's homesystem, and are roudly beaten.
Now, since Star Fox is ridiculous (how they're "gods" in the fandom and can beat anything) I redesigned stuff around. First ingredient: take a bunch of fandoms that have no relevance apart from being sci-fi or fantasy, and throw them into the mix. Second ingredient: mix and blend well so both sides are equal. Third ingredient: plan out deaths horribly for each member of Star Fox (which honestly happens on the fly). Fifth ingredient is to take just about every available character of the Star Fox franchise -- which is a total of about forty plus characters -- and give them roles. This means the "team" Star Fox has about ten people in it, so more deaths.
The sixth and final ingredient is to make the "Aparoids" even scarier than the Borg. They've been renamed the Collective and control a large Empire in the core of Galaxy, and this isn't even the center of the Empire but one of its vassals. The full might of the Empire isn't committed; it's just a border clash. However they're still formidable foe.
If you want to read what I've written, here's a link: Deuterocanonical: Destroy Malevolence (Star Fox: Assault), which is its full title. You'll recognize a few Destiny elements in there already. ;)
Not in this story. You see, I've made it no secret as to how Destroy Malevolence's ending will turn out. All of the good guys will be overthrown... but which good guys? ;)
Thank you. I've got just the thing for them. ;) I'll make sure not to forget to credit User:Arcmind in the acknowledgements.
Actually, their story will somewhat have a part in this, only the Praetorians' "history" is replicated by a larger entity. In fact they'll show up as combat units -- which are based off of Vex units like [[Goblins, Hobgoblins, and Minotaurs, along with an Octuptarra-like droid with three Vex-heads -- in the story, Destroy Malevolence, which I'm writing.
But here's an irony: your guys will be fighting the Cabal, who just happen to be named after User:Primus Draug'oth's name. ;)
I'm curious, what are exactly these "Praetorians" in your Shattered Past universe? I particularly like their names. Would it be possible if they cameoed in one of my stories?
The same format as we do for Story missions for the transcript, for dialogue. As for the walkthrough, that is an imperative.
Eh... a link to YouTube?
Well, as a basic list of everything of major importance showcased in the Destiny universe its fine as it is. Especially if it lists *just* the Templates like the Golden Age one, the Crucible maps, the Hive, Armors, and so on.
Well, if it doesn't appear as a Template then it's not a proper Template.
For example, this:
|
That'll be Porplemontage, and he'll have to make the direct Template itself, not just the thing you made.
It does look good, but the Achievements of the Golden Age section looks disorganized. I would order the items in alphabetical order. Other than that, looks great.
Because the Categories can't link in messages, and apparently, in infoboxes. I was trying to fix something and it erased the link, so I returned it to before.
Aha, yes, a Template Index. It'd probably look something like the main page but divided into Races, Enemies, Locations, Mission Infoboxes, if I'm reading yo correctly, right?
An index would be nice, but we have that on the main page. But it is a thought. A place for the major templates to be found, you reckon? Or is that what you've been saying all along?
