Louis is a peregrine falcon, and is the animal companion of Guardian associate Suraya Hawthorne.

Trivia

• Louis is the first named animal character in the Destiny series.
• There was a glitch where, in the interact screen with Suraya, Louis would occasionally start vibrating rapidly. Why this happened is still unknown. This has since been patched.
• Louis is seen in the game's introduction as a manifestation of light, flying towards the traveler. This would implicate there might be "ghosts" occupying more than just shells in the game as Louis could be viewed as Saraya Hawthorne's ghost.
