Cartridge versus Magazine

The fact that the gun uses a single cylindrical cartridge is reminiscent of the Ronon Dex's Particle Magnum pistol used in Stargate Atlantis, which also uses a single cylindrical cartridge. The only difference is that the Particle magnum fires energy bolts, the Duke MK.44 fires projectiles.

Just so you know, the magazine is what the cartridge or cartridges goes into. That's why I felt this is a valid trivia. I thought it interesting to note how similar it was to another weapon I knew of, that every Stargate fan knew of. So, please, keep it where it is. I looked at the Particle Magnum, and it looks only very vaguely like the Duke MK.44, mainly because they both have a revolving magazine. Aside from that, I don't see any similarities. For instance, the magazine of the Particle Magnum is sleek and smooth, while the magazine of the Duke is not. PerseusSpartacus (talk) 15:25, 14 September 2013 (EDT)
