StepsEdit

"And my vanquisher will read that book, seeking the weapon, and they will come to understand me, where I have been and where I was going."
The following is a verbatim transcription of an official document for archival reasons. As the original content is transcribed word-for-word, any possible discrepancies and/or errors are included.

Step 1Edit

  • Help Eido conduct key fieldwork at the Tomb of Elders.

"I'm sorry to send you into those prison ruins, but this fieldwork is vital. If we survive the Revenants, maybe I can talk Crow into asking Mara to decommission that place." —Eido

  • Eido: Guardian, we picked up on some Light Ether signatures in the Tomb of Elders — possibly captured Eliksni.
  • Eramis: Which means the Apothecary could be amongst them. If any Eliksni might know of Nezarec or his curses, it is her.
  • Eido: You speak so highly of her.
  • Eramis: She's insufferable and has a questionably tested tonic for everything… but she has earned by respect.
The Guardian searches the Prison.
  • Eramis: It must wound you deeply that Fikrul claimed your previous mantle: Warden. [scoffs]
  • Variks: Hm… Variks prefers that be the only similarity we share.
  • Eramis: And what of your shared delusion — that you could be a Kell? Your collective failure? Your weakness?
  • Variks: We too recall your failure as a Kell… So you also share this similarity with Fikrul, yes?
  • Eramis: Don't get too comfortable while I'm behind these bars, Variks… Happy to have this conversation again once I'm free.
  • Variks: Yes.
The Guardian defeats the Revenant Scorn.
  • Eramis: Another of Fikrul's abominations.
  • Eido: It's keeping us from the prisoners, that's all that matters. You know what to do, Guardian.
The Guardian defeats the Abomination.
  • Variks: You have found a transponder. Variks shall translate its signal, yes?
  • Ixis: [trills fervently]
  • Variks: Variks sees… The Apothecary has left this device in hopes we would find it. She and the captives are being transported as we speak.
  • Eido: Apothecary, do you happen to be well-versed in ontological curses?
  • Ixis: [chitters pointedly]
  • Variks: She claims to be well-versed in healing and is willing to share her knowledge.
  • Eramis: I'm surprised she hasn't freed herself, given how many times she's been in Eliksni shackles.
  • Ixis: [mutters in annoyance]
  • Variks: Apologies. [clears throat] The term she used for Fikrul is inappropriate for Vanguard communications.
  • Eido: Thank you, Apothecary. We will focus our efforts on freeing you as soon as we can.

Step 2Edit

You've delved into the Tomb of Elders to help Eido complete key fieldwork. In defeating more of Fikrul's Revenants, you've managed to salvage tech that Eido believes will upgrade the Tonic Laboratory. Return to the City and install it.

  • Use the Scorn helmet to upgrade Eido's Tonic Laboratory in the Last City.

"Your Ghost sent me some data on what you've salvaged! Bring it back to the Last City and we should be able to improve the lab!" —Eido

Step 3Edit

You've delved into the Tomb of Elders and helped Eido complete key fieldwork that allowed the two of you to upgrade the Tonic Laboratory. Speak to Eido.

  • Return to Eido in the Last City.
    • Eido visited

"Improving the lab gives us more options in tonic creation. Your support is always appreciated!" —Eido

Eido nods at you, energized. "Thank you for your help with that fieldwork, Slayer Baron! The lab's like new! I've left you something for your trouble."

She squints in satisfaction at what the two of you have built together. "I hope it's enough to help our people."
