The Gift Mast was a megastructure built by the Traveler around the black hole at the center of the Harmony's star system. The Gift Mast was filled with the Light of the Traveler, described as constantly singing in radiance, with a "radio lullaby", and beamed with silver light. The structure was also weaponized by the Harmony to be able to bend the black hole's accretion disk to fire relativistic plasma jets, called a "Sting". The radiance of the Mast attracted the Hive into the system, and the three god siblings swore to destroy it and feast upon it.[1] The armies of all three Hive Gods engaged the Harmony in a centuries-long war, which ended with Oryx's destruction of the Mast. The God King offered the majority of the remains of the Gift Mast to his armies, so that they could devour and gain power from the Light stored within.[2]
