Caught in The Coil is a quest for Season of the Wish. It is available after completing the Step 7 of the Wishing All the Best quest.

"I see the years that parted us have not fulled your ambitions."
Riven's massive form peers down at you in assessment. "I admire your willingness to march headlong into the unknown, wherever the path may take you. And there are many pathways through my lair."
"Surely you're game for a little challenge?"
A glittering key appears at your feet. "A gift. Spend this once you've proven yourself against our foes."
Step 1[edit]
Riven calls on you to fight your way through The Coil. Earn points as a fireteam by collecting Wishing Glass Shards within each pathway, and use them to purchase Dragon's Gifts from Riven. Use Lair Keys to open Lair Chests for greater rewards.
- In The Coil, spend a Lair Key by looting a Lair Chest, earn a high score as a fireteam by collecting Wishing Glass Shards within Lair pathways, and purchase a Dragon's Gift from Riven.
- Lair Keys can be obtained by completing activities anywhere in the system. Lair keys are automatically redeemed when opening Lair Chests, improving the rewards.

"You've returned in one pieve, treasures in hand."
Riven eyes you hungrily. "Perhaps there is hope for my clutch. In the meantime, The Coil awaits those willing to risk fleeting bodily harm in favor of lasting riches."
"Do enjoy all the rewards that come your way, O Guardian mine."
