Lamia are small, slim, yet rather dangerous Vex units first encountered on Ganymede.

Overview

Lamia are Vex units, with a tail. Their most notable feature is their tail and feminine appearance. Lamia make their first appearance on Ganymede and can be found in various activities such Strikes, Olympian Hunts, Missions, Patrols, the Fall of Olympus raid, and the Spire Integration Public Event. Thus far, they do not seem to be findable anywhere else in the system.

Gameplay

They operate as stealth units, only needing a slap rifle, line rifle, longbow, or torch hammer. They can slither around the arena and catch most enemies by surprise.

Lamia's main and most threatening ability is their gaze being able to freeze an enemy into stone, leaving the enemy's statue vulnerable to shattering by enemy fire.

Lamia can also utilize an ability similar to Sirens, an ability known as Seduction which can inflict the debuff Charm.

Trivia

• Like most Vex, the Lamia is named after a mythological creature; lamia was a child-eating monster that in later tradition was regarded as a type of night-haunting daemon.
• Lamia are like sirens, non-olympian vex that are all female.
• Lamia that spawn during the Hera, Olympian Queen boss fight will align themselves with the player due to bad blood between both parties, both in the mythology and in-game.
