Bellerophon, Eye of the Witness is the first named Taken Wyvern encountered by Guardians and was a former testbed defensive mind developed by the Sol Imminent before it was taken by The Witness. Now acting under the command of Apophos following the Witness's disappearance into the Traveler, the Taken Mind would oversee the Blighted and fractured realm of the Simulated Future until its permanent demise at the hands of the Guardians at the end of the Mercury campaign.

• The Vex Mind shares the same name as the Greek hero, Bellerophon, who infamously slayed the Chimera and fell from grace when trying to access Olympus.
