Delay?
So when are any of you guys gonna fill in these sections? -- Titan66 (talk) 23:08, 27 February 2017 (EDT)
- It takes time. Currently it's me and RedRenegade who're doing the bulk of the work. I initially started but the sheer number of cards to summarize accurately without copying everything was tiring and exhausting. We're making progress, slowly but surely. Just don't copy the Books of Sorrow into it; the goal's the make a summary, not another Books of Sorrow. --Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. - Okay got it ;) -- Titan66 (talk) 23:16, 27 February 2017 (EDT)
- Anytime. I'm honestly excited about doing this (when I find the motivation, that is). It's like doing fanfiction, only even better, which is wiki-work. --Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Τηις ις ωηατ Ι υσεδ. 23:18, 27 February 2017 (EST)

Completion
At this point the article is complete, with minor edits to be made. I'll eventually go through and add a list of characters and organizations at the very end to tie everything together, but at this point it is effectively finished.
I thank User:Arcmind, User:Frostywookiee, User:Observance, User:Titan66, User:RedRenegade, User:Blucorsa, and User:IronMachina20 for their contributions during the article's reconstruction, and all of their help, since it was a monolithic task for one user alone. --Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. New Section Discussion
It has been almost seven years since the reconstruction and expansion of this article into the behemoth that it is now.
Since then, new lore has come out and expanded our understanding the Hive pantheon and sociology. This includes the fabled seventh Book of Sorrow contained in two separate Lore books, Lore:The Book of Unmaking and Lore:For Every Rose, a Thorn, and the eighth Book of Sorrow as recorded in Lore:Sororicide. We don't know when the former was composed or even what's in it beyond what the Shadows of Yor have gleaned, and it is with a certainty that I can say the eighth Book of Sorrow was a work in progress until Eris Morn joined Hive goddesshood.
That leaves us with the whereabouts of the so-called "sixth Book of Sorrow", and so far all available circumstantial evidence—being the Exotic items Wormhusk Crown, Wormgod Caress, and Verity's Brow—points to it being an incomplete creation of Nokris' and Xol, Will of the Thousands, seemingly recognized by the wider Hive pantheon despite their excommunication. All well and good.
My proposal is to add new sections to the main article for Books seven and eight, to give our explanations as best as we can so others can read and judge for themselves. The casual user will not spend hours upon hours researching arcana to make sense of Destiny's lore, not with how limited their time is, so this is the least we can do; that was my philosophy when I first set out, with all the time in the world, to recreate the Books of Sorrow page into what it is now. I think we can do it a second time.
Your thoughts and opinions, O Editors mine? --Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Τηις ις ωηατ Ι υσεδ. 22:11, September 2, 2024 (EDT)
- Nokris already stated specifically his words were not of the Books of Sorrow from what appears to be a self-narrated foreword from a Weblore entry. Kuato, Didactic Mind 00:10, September 3, 2024 (EDT)
- Didactic, you’re basically pulling info from an entry that doesn’t stand for everything Nokris related. However Dante, I do second the idea to restructure it based on the 7th and 8th books, however I would leave the 6th as unknown for now. TheTrueSorrowMaker (contribs) 00:47, September 3, 2024 (EDT)
I agree with Sorrow, maybe leave the sixth out of it for now. WizardWolf Talk | Contribs 09:46, September 3, 2024 (EDT)
