Link is a Ghost that is currently Guardianless and works for the Vanguard in the Spectral Network, a covert organization of unpartnered Ghosts that gathers information on the enemies of the Last City.
During Operation Ahamkara, as the Coalition began making preparations to stop the Witness from enacting the Final Shape, Micah-10 would send the Guardian to find Link and bring him to the Pale Heart to help in the the Traveler's recovery. After being pointed to Link's last location, the Ocean of Storms on the Moon, the Guardian explored the area around the Hellmouth and defeated a Nightmare of Phogoth, the Untamed again, learning that Link may have been there to examine the Nightmares. After finding Link in the Chamber of Night, the Guardian brought them to the Pale Heart to help heal the Traveler.[2]
