Distortion Harpies are specialized Vex Harpy frames strengthened by the Darkness and modified to disrupt the activities of hostile units.
Gameplay
Much like other Harpies, these units will attempt to zip to a better position where they can strike their opponents with their integrated Harpy Slap Rifles or Vex Laser Rifles. However, while they will attempt to assail their opponents often, they will, instead, mostly attempt to interfere with the vision and actions of their opponents. The first of these abilities is their Champion's Gaze ability, which, if the target remains in sight of the ability, will heavily impair the target's movement, temporarily disable their weaponry and blind their vision. If approached by a target for any reason, they will unleash an inky cloud of darkness to blind their assailant and retreat. Due to their frustrating abilities and aversion to combat, they bear a weaker health pool than other Champions. It is still advised that Guardians employ Anti-Distortion tactics such as Anti-Distortion rounds in order to stagger them and neutralize their abilities.
