The Nightmare of Taniks, the Scarred is the Nightmare form of the infamous murderer and mercenary, Taniks, the Scarred. He has now been recreated by the Pyramid, and representing the Essence of Isolation. Guardians must face him in the Nightmare Hunt to create a piece of Dreambane Armor to be able to breach the Pyramid.
Overview
Taniks is the third nightmare you hunt during the campaign of Shadowkeep, found within the Temple of Crota in the room right before the lift that once lead to his ketch, you confront the Nightmare and destroy it. Taniks fights just like how he did back during House of Wolves, but with the Nightmare ability of turning invincible and summoning Nightmare Fallen.
Trivia
- Due to the real Taniks' history of cheating death, and his resurrection during Beyond Light raid Deep Stone Crypt (raid), the Nightmare of Taniks is among those that could represent a living enemy, alongside the Nightmare of Fikrul, the Fanatic, whose template has been resurrected multiple times with Dark Ether.
