Return to the Prison is a Quest in Destiny 2: Season of the Emperors. After the crippling defeat of the House of Emperors, The Guardian was sent by Joskaa on the behalf of The Spider to investigate a strange occurrence reported by a Lion soldier.

Trivia

• This is the first ever Mission in Destiny 2 to feature player-friendly Champions, as two Overload Captains can be seen fighting alongside House of Lions Fallen. They cannot be shot at, nor do they attack the player either.
• This is the first mission uses the almost same locations to the Prison of Elders from the Last Call, however, a few changes can be seen, as the fires are now out and there are many dead Fallen and Cabal bodies, as well as a new location that drops down into the Prison Cell Block: "X".
