Malcolm Merlyn, also known as The Dark Archer, is a member of The Black Swordsman and The White Angel's notorious organization called The Shadowkeepers.

The husband of Rebecca Merlyn and the father of Tommy Merlyn, Thea Queen, and Saracon, he would be resurrected as a Shadowkeeper and assist Kirito and Asuna in destroying The Last City so that The Black Fleet can enshroud Earth.

He is a supporting antagonist of the Paradox expansion.
