Sundance was the Ghost of Cayde-6. She was killed by Pirrha, the Rifleman during the Scorn's breakout from the Prison of Elders using a Devourer Bullet like those of a Weapon of Sorrow.

Sundance was described as being showy, exuberant, somewhat mischievous, and carefree, yet was still serious about her duties, very much like her Guardian.

Legacy

While exploring the Pale Heart in search of a way to defeat the Witness, a resurrected Cayde (who had been returned to life within the Pale Heart by Riven using her wish-magic, after Crow wished his return) experienced a vision from the Traveler after investigating a fissure of Light. In the vision, the Traveler spoke to Cayde through an apparition of Sundance, who reiterated the first three Guardian tenets: devotion, bravery, and sacrifice. After the Witness interfered by hijacking the vision, Cayde realized that Sundance had forgotten the last tenet, "death," upon which he re-lived her death at the hands of Pirrha.
