Birthplace of the Vile is the second Strike of The Witch Queen expansion, as well as the second strike that takes place in Savathûn's Throne World. Its first clear involves a Fireteam of Guardians, under the guidance of Mara Sov, searching through the Dark City, known as the Harvest, to find a Cryptoglyph and a specialized Darkness "incubator" in order to keep Savathûn's Worm alive. Subsequent clears are focused on the fireteam stopping the Scorn from making use of the City's facilities.
